Florist in action

What a beautiful selection of cottage flowers! this brides mother had picked a very colourful selection of cottage roses ( with permission by the local shire ) for the weddings arrangements. I was so so lucky to use so such beautiful roses. Being in the floral industry we only but use the hot housed roses as the garden picked flowers dont last as long. I cherished the smells, the thorns, the bugs, the loose petals.... I was in flower heaven!
Below is a photo of me with the bride to be surrounded by roses.....

I was welcomed so sweetly into their home to create these flowers. I really loved being apart of all the action of the wedding.
I will add more photos of " Ali in action " over the next few weeks......

Below is my flower friend Viv in action... Isn't that gyp perfect!!!

My favourite photo for March/April

Antique roses and Gypsophlia - so pretty!

I was so lucky to create wedding flowers for this beautiful bride.
With her beautiful curly locks and radiant smile, she was a stunning bride indeed.
I met her back in November 2011 along with her enthusiastic mother Mary.
I had a brilliant time creating her flowers.
Her gown was a genuine vintage wedding dress so I thought the gypsophlia would look so sweet with the antique roses that I ordered in for her BQs

Above is a BQ I had created as an example - to check the colours were correct for her look..... She was very pleased :)

Below are some of the beautiful flowers I brought for her BQ'S

Above are the antique and honeymoon roses

I was given some fabric from the mother of the bride so I made some sleeves for the BQ's - they looked really nice and felt so great as well

Above is the bridal BQ

The flower girl carried a bunch of Gyp

Below are some photos from the wedding

I created the wedding cake flowers along with flowers for the tables and a few arrangements to pop in places

Silks by Alice-Rose

I have had a few requests for silk flowers recently.
This is my first silk wedding for this year.
I think the bride will be happy with these BQ's for her beautiful bridesmaids.

Alternative BQ's

There are so many alternatives to flowers for wedding BQ's. Although I am a fresh flower lover and would only but create fresh flowers for weddings I have collected some pretty cool ideas for the modern brides out there.... fancy something that would make a statement and something you can keep, these may be the ideas you have been looking for. You can use paper, ribbons, feathers, wood...
